How secure is your facility?
Akers Academy prides itself on the safety of our structure and the strict guidelines associated with the check-in and check-out of our children. In addition to secure passcode entry, we also provide large display in-room monitoring from our main lobby.
Who is allowed to pick up my child?
The only individuals authorized to pick up your child are the people you have chosen in filling out your child’s enrollment and parents who have signatures on the original authorization forms. All persons picking up a child should have a picture ID.
How often can I visit Akers Academy?
You may visit anytime that you would like! Our parents are essential to our program and we welcome them to visit when it is convenient. We believe Active Minds are enhanced by having our parents participate in our school programs and policies.
What is the difference between day care and school or academy?
Education, Curriculum, Professional Staff Development and Lower Teacher/Student Ratios.
When is my child taught from the curriculum?
Curriculum hours are 8:30-2:30 with extended learning through to 6:30 p.m.
How will I know about my child’s progress at Akers Academy?
Conferences are available on a scheduled basis or as needed. Developmental assessments are prepared and sent home twice yearly. Daily reports are also a critical element of our parental communication program.
What type of enrichment programs do you provide?
Spanish, Sign-language and Yoga are all included within our curriculum. Extra-curricular activities for our children are provided at an additional cost.

- Abracadoodle (Art Enrichment)
